My favorite tray
Be on the lookout at Target, Homegoods, or your local home decor shop for fun and unique trays. My favorite tray is from Amazon and I love it in wood and white.

Christmas
This Christmas tray was kept simple with greenery, some stamped decorative books, as well as wood and glass ornaments.
What makes a tray look good?
The skies are the limit when you decorate your tiered tray but I always try and keep a few things in mind.
- If you can see the tray from all sides, make it pretty on all sides.
- Vary textures with smooth and rough.
- Add greenery.
- Some sort of container or vase with a pattern or texture adds a lot of fun.
- Pick a color scheme or theme to guide you.
- Use things you have around and then supplement with a few bought pieces.
Give it a try
The next time you are at a home store, grab a tray and start filling. It is such a fun way to transition from season to season in your home. Make sure to follow along with the Hamm Homestead Facebook page HERE, for more tiered tray decorating ideas.
